Favorable regulatory and complaint history review (As defined by FSP, the wealth manager has not; A. Been subject to a regulatory action that resulted in a license being suspended or revoked, or payment of a fine; B. Had more than a total of three settled or pending complaints filed against them and/or a total of five settled, pending, dismissed, or denied complaints with any regulatory authority or FSP's consumer complaint process. Unfavorable feedback may have been discovered through a check of complaints registered with a regulatory authority or complaints registered through FSP's consumer complaint process; feedback may not be representative of any one client's experience; C. Individually contributed to a financial settlement of a customer complaint; D. Filed for personal bankruptcy within the past 11 years; E. It is often said “the only constant in life is change”. As our client’s experience life changes such as promotions, job changes, marriages, welcoming children or grandchildren, loss of a significant other, etc., we are there to help them thru the changes. We discuss the impact and how their plan needs to adapt to those circumstances. In addition, we proactively reach out quarterly, semi-annually, or annually (depending on client preference) with update and strategy meetings to help them stay up to date on their financial situation and make changes as needed.
We have always abided by the Fiduciary standard of care when dealing with clients. The U.S Securities and Exchange Commission adopted Regulation Best Interest in 2019 which is a “package of rulemakings and interpretations designed to enhance the quality and transparency of retail investors’ relationships with investment advisers and broker-dealers”.
